Common issues & Practices to take note after Purchasing the Bike.

  1. Due to liability concerns, we will not provide services for installing accessories or changing components on the bike with products that are not purchased from us. We will not be responsible for any damages that occur on the bike as a result of installing accessories or changing components done by the customer.
    • The labour for the installation of components and accessories is not covered by the warranty. In some cases, the warranty may be voided due to the installation of accessories or changing of components.
    • Please note that the warranty does not cover damages as a result of the installation of accessories & components on the bike done by the customer. Maintenance, repair cost, component replacements will be under the bicycle owner's own expenses.
    • There will be basic charges from $30 - $60 onwards if we were to agree on installing accessories or components if it is really needed.
(Charges Varies on the Job Scope.)
    • We reserve the right to refuse services and repairs on the bike due to damages caused by the installation of accessories or the replacement of components by the customer.

  2. The customer MUST understand how to properly fold and unfold the folding bike. Otherwise, the frame and components will be damaged.
    • Please watch videos on how to fold and unfold the bicycle properly & try to recall the procedures during the training provided by us.
    • Replacements for damaged parts & key components will be charged accordingly on top of the basic charges.
    • The Bicycle Warranty does not cover labour charges.

  3. Proper setting up the bike according to manufacturer's recommendations by making sure the seat & handle post are firm & secure before every ride.

  4. For new Cyclist, PLEASE learn how to apply the brakes correctly & properly when riding as improper or sudden braking might cause some jerking effect which might pose danger to the rider. The sudden jerking feeling is an extremely common behaviour for responsive brakes when the brakes are applied, especially on Disc Brakes bikes.
    • We will not recommend adjusting the brakes to reduce their responsiveness, as this will affect the rider's safety when cycling without responsive brakes.

  5. For riders who are new to cycling, please learn how to "Get on & Off the bike" using the correct method when cycling. We call this "mount & dismount" from a bike. By using this cycling method, it will increase the rider's efficiency when riding & also minimise unforeseen dangers when cycling.
    • For example, when riding with the proper method, your leg should not be able to touch the ground while cycling or stopping.
    • Please watch videos on how to ride a bike using the proper method by first learning "How to Get on & Off the Bike the right way".

  6. When cycling, common sounds will appear to come from the chain and hub. These are very common & normal sounds for folding bikes, external gear shifting and internal hub-style bicycles due to the natural behaviour of the components.
    • The sound varies from hub to hub.
    • Common sounds may come from the chain & cassette's gears while changing/shifting the gears/speed.
    • Tuning & some basic servicing might help to minimise the sound but will be unable to completely eliminate certain sounds.
      (Basic Charges Apply.)

  7. Please avoid pedalling backwards after changing gears or speeds as this may cause jams to the gearing system and the chain drop more frequently. This will necessitate additional bicycle maintenance, resulting in higher maintenance costs.

  8. There might be some slight vibration on the rear cassette when going at the Larger Cassette (Speed 1-3) & the Smaller Cassette (Speed 6-8 or 9) for 6,8 & 9 Speed Cassette when riding. This reason is due to cross-chain. Please note that this is very normal & natural behaviour for 6,8 & 9 Speed Cassette or any external gear system.

  9. Inner tube puncture, chain dropping, bolt & nut loosen overtime etc...... are very common issues when riding the bike.

  10. We recommend customers to learn how to do some very basic maintenance to save certain cost monthly or annually on various Bicycle Maintenance & Repairs.

  11. Recommended to Clean & lubricate the bicycle chain regularly.
    • DO NOT use WD40 for cleaning and lubricating the chain for bicycles.
    • Make sure that the chain lubricator and cleaner that are meant are for Bicycle use.
    • Please DO NOT use lubricating and cleaner which are NOT meant for bicycles as they will severely damage the chain and other components on the bike.
    • Please DO NOT use too much or leave excess substances after cleaning or lubricating the chain.
    • Please DO NOT use the chain lubricant or cleaner on the wheels bearings, bottom bracket and other key components as it will result in high maintenance costs and unusual sounds might appear from various parts of the bike.
    • For Disc Brakes Bikes,  please do not leave any excess oil, lubricant or dirt on the disc as it will affect the responsiveness when braking & it may cause danger to the rider.

  12. Please DO NOT use any type of pressure spray to wash, clean or bath the bike, as this will severely damage the bearings, movable parts, and key components, necessitating extensive repair and services at a significant cost.
    • We reserve the right to refuse bike services and repairs based on the severity of the issue.

  13. Recommended keeping the bike indoors & dry after every riding session to minimise rust & other issues.

  14. Recommended to cycle on PCN or any similar terrains for lesser bike maintenance & repairs.
    • Cycling on the green corridor, Cony Island, and other locations with similar terrains are not recommended as it may result in high maintenance for the bike such as frequent inner tube punctures, broken spokes, and the need to spend additional money on servicing and repairs.

  15. Remember to check the tyre pressure & pump when needed before every ride.

  16. Modification of the bike will be at the customer's own risk.
    • We will not be providing any bicycle services & repairs if the specification of the bike defers when sold to the customer.
    • Please note that the warranty may be voided by the manufacturer if modification work is done to the bike.

  17. Please note that the Warranty is only on the bicycle frame by the manufacturer.
    • Wear & tear items, movable parts & components are not covered in the warranty.
    • Adjustments, tuning, maintenance, Servicing, Bicycle Maintenance & Repairs will be under the bicycle owner's OWN EXPENSES as mentioned by the manufacturer.

  18. Please take note of the Policies and T&Cs by us & the Warranty by the Manufacturer.
